Acknowledgement

Ridgeline Advisory acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters on which we work, and their continuing connection to Country. We recognise Traditional Owners as the first scientists and water managers of this Country, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

In Aotearoa New Zealand we ground our work in Te Mana o te Wai: the health and mauri (life force) of the water comes first, then the health needs of people, then other uses. We acknowledge tangata whenua and mana whenua of each rohe (region) as kaitiaki (guardians) of the wai (water), and we recognise that lasting outcomes are reached in partnership — with place names, tikanga (customary practice) and engagement developed together for each place, guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We offer this acknowledgement with humility, and in a spirit of ongoing partnership.
